We offer clients wishing to sell their Maud Lewis artwork several options depending on the market and your wishes:

Outright Purchase
After MFA has inspected the artwork and agreed upon a net purchase amount, the seller receives payment by bank draft or bank wire, which is processed within 48 hours of receipt of the artwork.

After agreeing upon a retail selling price, MFA provides a fully detailed consignment document to the Consignor. MFA receives the full payment of the consigned work and charges the consignor a fee of 25% of the retail value. The Consignor will receive payment from MFA within 10 days of the sale of the artwork.

Through our partnership with Consignor Canadian Fine Art we help bridge the gap between traditional art auction services and the online fine art marketplace. With dedicated preview and gallery space in Toronto, regular live and online art auctions, and partnerships with Canadian art experts, Consignor Canadian Fine Art provides both buyers and sellers of Canadian Art a unique and effective set of services which marry the traditional methods of promoting artwork and innovative means of building a collection.
